Alta Blackjack has two world class ski resorts in the backyard (Alta Ski Area is slightly uphill, Snowbird Resort is slightly downhill). Both are less than a mile away. Each resort has its own character. Each has a lifetime’s worth of terrain to explore. You can be from your condo door to lift at either resort in less than 10 minutes.

We are known for our remarkable champagne powder. It is dry here, and when it snows it tends to snow a lot. Our annual average is over 500 inches. Softly stacked powder snow accumulating to a foot or much more over night, (or sometimes, it seems, between runs!), it is something to behold. When it is not snowing, chances are the sky is blue and the sun is shining. It often stays just cold enough to keep the snow fresh, not so cold that you freeze your feet before you’ve had your fill.

There is something for everyone. We are known for our steep slopes but there are also many undulating hills and beginner areas perfect for kids or a gentle skier of any age. Each resort is family friendly and fun can be found to please each age and mindset.

The Salt Lake International Airport is less than an hour away, Salt Lake City is just 8 miles downhill, making our place in the world notably accessible, and yet it somehow maintains its old time remote mountain feel.

Alta is a sweet spot in the world. Within Alta, Alta Blackjack is perfectly situated. Central yet tucked away, Alta Blackjack has been sought after by outdoor enthusiasts, vacationers and real estate prospectors for over 40 years.
